+52% trip bookings in the first season
Sawtooth Outfitters
Guided trips and gear rental for the Sawtooth backcountry.
Sawtooth Outfitters runs guided backcountry trips and rents gear out of the Sawtooth Valley. They came to us with a booking process that lived in email threads and phone tag — and a website that didn't reflect the quality of their trips.
The challenge
Outfitters sell an experience people plan months ahead, then book on impulse when the timing's finally right. The old site buried trip details, hid pricing, and made booking a chore — so leads leaked to phone calls the team couldn't always catch out in the field.
What we built
- A trip catalog with clear itineraries, difficulty, seasons, and pricing
- Real-time availability and online booking with deposits
- Gear-rental add-ons built right into the booking flow
- Trip reports and photography that sell the backcountry
- Fast, mobile-first pages that hold up on weak mountain signal
The approach
We led with the landscape — full-bleed imagery and confident type — then made the next step obvious on every screen: check dates, see what's included, book. Pricing and what's-included came out of hiding, which cut the back-and-forth before a booking even started.
People don't book a guide they have to chase. We made saying yes the easiest thing on the page.
The result
In their first season on the new site, Sawtooth Outfitters saw a 52% increase in trip bookings, with more of them completed online before the first phone call — freeing guides to be on the trail instead of in their inbox.
